Woman Threshold

threshold into birth,
threshold into the womb,
space for growth
in darkness,
the nearness of two beings,
nurturing into identity
within Divine creativity,
a hidden journey
for an intimate stranger
to enter the world,
on the edge
of God's creative power,
fragile, tender, awe-some.
